Knowledge and Education Yielding Solutions

A driver's license should not depend on income, zip code or language barriers.

KEYS Group is building scholarships for students who cannot afford or reach driver education—and training pathways for the instructors who teach them. We are starting in Oregon.

Expanding driver education access

What we are building

Access works when the whole system works.

Access takes both affordable seats and enough qualified instructors. We are building both at once, on purpose.

Why this matters

A license is a paycheck, a diploma and a doctor's appointment.

Behind-the-wheel training costs several hundred dollars. In rural counties, the nearest program may be an hour away—and reaching it can require the license a student does not yet have.

A license connects people to work, school, healthcare and family responsibilities. Driver education makes those trips safer for everyone.

  • Youth and students with no licensed driver at home
  • Low-income families where training competes with rent and groceries
  • Rural residents far from an approved program
  • Families facing language, scheduling or documentation barriers
